What we collect
Playa Oracle has no user accounts, advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs. If you use a shared Camp or Friend Deck, the app sends the camp or deck name, friend invite code, alias, card text and rating, votes, reports, moderation status, timestamps and a random app-install identifier to the Playa Oracle service. The random identifier is used to keep votes consistent, enforce basic limits and show a submitter their pending cards. It is not your Apple ID, phone number, email address or advertising identifier.
Location
If you grant permission, Playa Oracle uses your location on your device to show your playa address, provide navigation, retrace a route and help remember your camp or bike. An active route may use background location for directions and arrival alerts. Automatic Bike Saves use background location only after you explicitly enable them in Roam. You can turn them off at any time. Location data is not transmitted to HalimiLABS and does not leave your device through Playa Oracle.
Motion and notifications
If you grant permission, motion data is used on your device for the shake-to-cast gesture. Notification permission is used for event, route, sunrise, sunset and sky alerts you choose. Playa Oracle does not transmit motion or notification activity to HalimiLABS.
Shared decks and moderation
Shared-deck information is used only to provide Camp and Friend Decks, display approved cards, preserve votes, investigate reports and moderate unsafe content. Cards submitted to a shared deck enter a moderation queue before other people can draw them. HalimiLABS does not sell this information, use it for advertising or use it to track you across apps or websites. Precise location, routes, bike and camp pins, favorites, alerts, personal notes and private “Only Me” cards are not included with shared cards.
Information stored on your device
Favorites, alerts, filters, camp and bike locations, trails, routes, notes, Chronicle entries, private cards, shared-deck memberships, card preferences and settings may be stored locally so they remain available offline. The optional 18+ confirmation stores only a yes/no setting on this device; Playa Oracle does not ask for or store your birth date. Use About, Privacy & Support → Erase All Playa Oracle Data to remove this local information, or delete the app.
Your choices
Location, background location, Precise Location and Notifications can be changed in iPhone Settings. Automatic Bike Saves can be turned off in Roam. You can use Playa Oracle without joining a shared deck, leave any Friend Deck, or stop drawing from Camp and Friend cards. Erasing app data removes memberships and the random identifier from your iPhone, but cards and votes already sent to a shared deck may remain so the deck continues to work for its other members. To request removal of shared content, email the address below with the deck name or invite code, alias and card text.
External links
Playa Oracle can open external websites, including HalimiLABS and Spotify, only when you choose those links. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Playa Oracle does not receive information about your activity on those external sites.
